1. Who Can File an RTI?
- Any Indian citizen can file an RTI application.
- There is no restriction on age, gender, or profession.
2. How to File an RTI?

- Submit the application to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the concerned department.
- Pay a nominal fee (usually ₹10).
3. Time Limit for Response
- 30 days from the date of submission.
- 48 hours if it concerns life or personal liberty.
- 35 days if filed with an Assistant PIO.
- 40 days if it involves a third party.
4. Fees for RTI Application
- ₹10 for application (varies by state).
- Additional fees for photocopies, CDs, or printouts.
- Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants are exempt from fees.
5. What Information Can Be Sought?
